Finance Operations Manager BE/NL


[PIAS] offers a broad range of services on a multi-territorial basis. The Finance Operations Manager BE/NL will be responsible for the management and the performance of the financial accounting function in Brussels. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director BNL/GE/Other EU, based in Brussels.


Tasks and Responsibilities include

Management of the financial accounting function and production of periodic and timely management reporting and statutory accounts for the various BE/NL companies.


  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cash/Banks and all related G/L’s
  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of financial and tax data in accordance with legal obligations and company policies
  • Responsible for the periodic (monthly, quarterly and yearly) financial closing for management reporting purposes, in close collaboration with the Controlling team and with the Group Finance team
  • Responsible for appropriate recharges of operating costs (distribution, mechanicals, manufacturing, …), in collaboration with the Controlling team
  • Responsible for the timely booking of intercompany transactions and reconciliation of intercompany balances, in collaboration with the Group Finance team
  • Supervision and review of related statutory accounts
  • Participate to the annual external audit
  • Reporting to the Group Finance team
  • Supervise tax compliance and tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, Indirect taxes)
  • Manage and maintain an appropriate and documented system of accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls, relevant for the BE/NL scope, derived from the Group Guidelines
  • Supervising the reconciliation of balances with [PIAS] physical sales distributor and customers credit limits approvals
  • Manage clients and suppliers’ relationship
  • Participate to (internal / external) financial and tax queries


People Management

  • Management of a team of 2 persons in Brussels (G/L, A/R-CC, A/P) With an opportunity to extend this scope based on performance
  • Set-up and maintenance of appropriate back-up’s


Cash Flow Management and Reporting

  • Management of the BE/NL cash flow
  • Preparation/Supervise cash flow reporting (actuals and forecast)
  • Back-office administration for all BE/NL bank matters (opening/closing bank accounts, Isabel cards, credit cards, loan agreements, loans repayment schedules…)
  • Manage currencies (purchase/sale and organize payments in various currencies)
  • Review bank payments preparations


Finance System Key User

  • Become the NetSuite Key User for BE/NL
  • Collaboration with the Group Finance team to implement Group Guidelines in BE/NL, and report requests and issues on timely basis


Credit Control

  • Responsible for the Credit Control process and performance, and of appropriate delegation within the team
  • Aging balance review, Turnover trackers review and implementation of new credit controls procedures
